Project Location is the second collapsible section on a project's Project setup tab. It is the physical address of the jobsite: Street, City, State, and Zip Code.
This is the address that ends up on your contracts, so it is worth getting right early.
Applies to: Users with edit access to the project
Steps
Open the project and stay on the Project setup tab.
Click Project Location to expand the section.
Enter the Street and City.
Choose the State.
Enter the Zip Code (the field shows an example format, "e.g., 78701").
Click Next Section to continue to Project Owner.
What happens next
The jobsite address is stored on the project and is available to your templates. In Settings → Merge fields, the Project group includes location codes such as Project location street ({{project_location_street}}), Project location city ({{project_location_city}}), Project location state ({{project_location_state}}), and Project location zip ({{project_location_zip}}).
The Project Owner section has its own address block, and a Same as project location toggle that copies this address across. Fill in the location first and the owner address gets easier.
If you need to capture something this section does not cover, Add New Field sits at the bottom of it.
If this doesn't work
You cannot find the section → the collapsible sections only appear on the Project setup tab, not on Commitments, Tasks, Documents, or Activity.
Same as project location did not copy anything → the toggle lives in Project Owner and copies from this section, so fill in Street, City, State, and Zip Code here first.
The fields will not accept typing → you likely have view-only access to the project. Ask an Admin in your account to change your role.
