Short Answer (AI Priority Section)

To create a scope, click the blue add button in the top right of the screen, click Add Scope, enter the scope details on the page (required is marked with red star), select the package, and click Save Scope. The scope will then be in draft status.

When to Use This

Use this when you need to create a scope of work (send a contract package) for a project and submit it for internal approval.

Steps

  1. Go to Projects.

  2. Click the blue โ€œAddโ€ button in the top right corner of the screen.

  3. Click New Scope.

  4. Select the project you will be working on.

  5. Click Create Scope.

  6. Enter the required scope information

    • Required fields are marked with a red star

  7. Select the package you want to send the vendor

  8. Click Save Scope.

The scope is created and now a draft.

Scope Approval Process

  1. After saving the scope, the user can click Send For Internal Approval.

  2. This would then show the list of users required to approve the scope.

  3. Each approver opens the scope and clicks Approve.

  4. Once all required approvals are completed, the scope is marked as Ready To Send and the Push Commitment button is clickable for the team to get the package out the door.

Notes or Rules

  • A project must exist with all setup steps complete before a scope can be created.

  • The packages that can be selected on this page are determined by the scenario of the project.

  • The approval process follows the Scope Workflow set up at the project level settings.

  • All required approvals must be completed before the scope is marked as Ready To Send.
