How to Create a New Project

To create a new project, log in to your account, click the Add button (top right), select New Project, and complete each step in the project creation workflow until the final Save and Next step.

When to Use This

Use this when you need to create a new project and configure the required project details, team members, approval workflows, and document settings.

Steps

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. Click the Add button.

  3. Select New Project from the menu.

  4. Enter the required Project Information fields on the first page.

  5. Click Save and Next.

Team Management

  1. On Step 2 – Team Management, review the list of available team members.

  2. Select the team members who will be part of the project by using add team member button if they are not already showing.

  3. Click Save and Next.

Scope Workflow

  1. On the Scope Workflow page, configure the workflow for scope approvals.

  2. Select the users who will draft the scope of work.

  3. Select the user who will approve the scope of work.

  4. Click Save and Next.

Note: If you get errors or can’t select the right team member here you need to go back to the team step and add them.

Contract Workflow

  1. On the Contract Workflow page, configure the contract approval workflow.

  2. Select the users who will negotiate contract redlines.

  3. Select the user who will sign the final contract.

  4. Click Save and Next.

Manage Documents

  1. On the Manage Documents page, choose the document scenario for the project.

  2. You can also upload project related documents here that will be sent as attachments with every contract package. (Use the blue upload documents box to do this).

  3. Click Save and Next.

Once these steps are completed, the system creates the new project.

Notes or Rules

  • Some Project Information fields are mandatory and must be completed before continuing. These are identified with a red star.

  • Each workflow page must be completed before moving to the next step.

  • The selected document scenario determines which documents will be used for the project.

  • All steps of the project setup process must be completed in order to make a scope.
