Go to Settings → Employees & invites, click the person's name to open Employee details, then click Remove.
People leave, and roles change. This takes about thirty seconds once you know where it lives.
Applies to: Admins
Steps
Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar, then click Settings.
Under ORGANIZATION, click Employees & invites.
Find the person in the list. You can type into the search box ("Search name, email, role, title…") or narrow the list with the All Roles, All Offices, and All Statuses dropdowns.
Click the person's name to open Employee details.
Check the three counters in the Activity card at the top of the page: Projects, Open Tasks, and Overdue Tasks. This tells you what work is sitting with them before you cut their access.
In the Status block, click Remove.
Confirm the removal when prompted.
You can also remove someone straight from the list without opening their record. Each row carries a Remove control labelled with that person's name, for example Remove Jane Smith.
What happens next
Removing someone ends their access to your organization. They can no longer sign in to your account, and they lose sight of your projects, commitments, tasks, and documents.
The member count shown above the list, in the form "x of y members", updates to reflect the change.
Removal walks you through the handover. Remove opens a panel headed "Remove [their name]?" showing how many open items have to move, plus what is handled automatically and what is left untouched. If they have open work, click Continue to reach "Reassign [their name]'s work", choose who inherits each item, then click Remove user. If they have none, the panel says so and you can remove straight away. If nobody else is active you will see "No one to reassign work to", and removal is blocked until you invite or reactivate someone.
If this doesn't work
You cannot find the person in the list → they may be a pending invitation rather than an active member. Set the All Statuses dropdown to show every status, or search their email address instead of their name.
There is no Remove button on the record → your role does not have permission to manage team members. Ask an Admin in your account to do it.
You meant to change their access, not end it → open the person and change the Role value under Organization instead. If you have already removed someone, it is reversible: set the All Statuses filter to Inactive, open them again, and click Reactivate next to their status in the Status block. You can also select inactive rows in the list and use the Activate bulk action.
