How do I configure notification settings?

Written by Zach Koerber

You control which events notify you, and admins can set the defaults for the whole company.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Notifications.

  2. Pick your tab:

    • My preferences: what you get notified about.

    • Company defaults: the baseline configuration for everyone in the company (admin).

  3. Toggle by category. Each shows how many of its notifications are on (e.g. "5 of 6 on"):

    • Contracts & signatures: contract execution, signing, and redlines.

    • Tasks & workflows: assignments, forwards, mentions, and task summaries.

    • Scopes: scope creation, approvals, and reviews.

    • Documents & compliance: document approvals and vendor compliance alerts.

    • Team & invitations: company invites, project teams, and onboarding.

  4. Expand a category to switch individual notification types on or off.

What happens next

Changes apply to what lands in Notifications (bottom of the left sidebar) and in your email going forward. Company defaults set the baseline for everyone in the company. Each notification is set to Required, Recommended, or User's choice. Recommended and User's choice can be overridden by each person under My preferences. Required notifications are locked on and cannot be turned off by an individual.

If this doesn't work

  • If you're missing events you care about → check the matching category; one specific type within it may be off.

  • If your inbox is too noisy → turn off summary-type notifications first and keep the action-required ones (signatures, approvals) on.
