You can create a vendor-only task by clicking Add, selecting New Task, choosing Vendor-Only Task, selecting vendors and a template, reviewing merge fields, and clicking Send.
When to Use This
Use this when:
You need documents like a W-9, insurance certificate, or contact update
You are sending the same request to multiple vendors
The vendor documents are not tied to a single active project
You want to collect documents without linking them to a project
Steps
Click Add (blue button) in the top-right corner.
Click New Task.
Select Vendor-Only Task.
Click Create Vendor Task.
Select one or more vendors.
Click Next.
Select a template.
Click Next.
Review the merge fields.
Check all required fields.
(Optional) Select Ignore missing data to skip unused fields.
Click Next.
Review the task summary, including vendors and documents.
Click Send.
Where to Find the Task
The task appears in each selected vendor’s profile
It is not linked to any project
All responses and files stay within the vendor record
Notes or Rules
Vendor-only tasks are not connected to projects or scopes
Each selected vendor receives the same task
Merge fields should be reviewed to avoid missing information
Ignoring missing data may result in incomplete documents
