Expand your collaborative network and streamline document management by inviting subcontractors to join you on the Contracts Connected platform. This video guide walks you through the simple process of extending invitations to subcontractors, ensuring they can easily join and collaborate within the platform.
1. Access the Companies Page
Steps
From the left-hand menu, click Companies.
Review the list of existing subcontractors your company already works with.
If the subcontractor you want to invite is not listed, proceed to the next step.
2. Send a Subcontractor Invitation
Steps
Click the Action button, then select “Invite Company.”
Enter the subcontractor’s:
Email address
Company name
Click Send.
Once you press Send, a prompt will appear asking if you’d like to pre-fill company information for this invite.
3. Choose How to Send the Invite
You’ll have two options when sending the invitation:
Option A – Send Immediately
Select “No” when asked if you’d like to pre-fill company information.
The invitation will send right away, allowing the subcontractor to receive it instantly.
Option B – Pre-Fill Company Information (Optional)
Select “Yes” if you want to enter additional details before sending the invite.
You can fill in:
Company website
Tax ID / EIN number
DBA (Doing Business As) name, if applicable.
After entering the information, click Send Invite.
💡 Tip: Pre-filling company details can help speed up onboarding and reduce setup work later.
4. Subcontractor Account Creation
The invited subcontractor will receive an email invitation prompting them to create an account.
Once they click the link and complete registration:
Their profile will move from the Invites section to the Companies list.
You’ll then be able to collaborate fully with them inside the Contracts Connected platform.
5. Benefits of Platform Integration
Once a subcontractor has accepted the invitation:
All communication can occur within the platform — no more email back-and-forth.
You can manage contracts, scopes, approvals, and documents seamlessly.
This ensures all activity is tracked, centralized, and secure.
6. Key Takeaway
Inviting subcontractors directly into Contracts Connected simplifies onboarding, ensures accurate data entry, and keeps all communication and contract exchanges in one organized place.
