To import vendors, open Vendors, click Import, then upload a CSV of your vendor list and walk through a four-step wizard: Upload, Map Columns, Review, Confirm.
Adding vendors one at a time takes a while, so the import is the fastest way to bring your whole list in at once.
Steps
1. Click Vendors in the left sidebar.
2. Click Import. The import wizard opens on the Upload step.
3. Click Download Template to get the correct column layout.
4. Fill the template with your vendors, then save it as a .csv file under 5MB.
5. Drag the file into the upload area, or click Browse Files to choose it.
6. Click Continue to reach Map Columns, and match your column headers to each required field.
Required columns: Company Name, Contact Email, EIN / Tax ID.
7. Click Continue through Review, check the rows that will import, then click Continue to Confirm and finish.
What happens next
Your imported vendors are added to the Vendors page, where you can see each one's status and start sending commitments to them. Vendors brought in this way appear alongside any you added with Add Vendor.
If this doesn't work
If the file will not upload → confirm it is saved as a .csv (not .xlsx) and is under 5MB. Re-export from your spreadsheet as CSV if needed.
If Map Columns will not continue → a required field is unmatched. Match Company Name, Contact Email, and EIN / Tax ID to one of your column headers before clicking Continue.
If some rows show errors on Review → open your CSV, fix the blank or misformatted required cells in those rows, then re-upload using the Download Template layout.
